A new ATM experience available at more locations islandwide

What if you could spend less time banking, and more time doing the things you love? Introducing our new ATM experience that is redesigned around your needs.

Now you can,

  • Select language and text size: Four language options including Tamil and customisable text size display

  • Peek your balance: View your account balance instantly on the main menu

  • Have more fast cash withdrawal options: $80, $150, $300 and $500 are now available under the preset amount for cash withdrawals

  • Bank faster with simplified screen flows: Intuitive shortcuts such as options to withdraw cash or transfer funds after viewing your account balance

  • Access quick toolbar: Allows you to return to the main menu or cancel your transaction

  • View alert messages: Reminders on the idle screen to notify you on availability of denomination, receipt and others

These new functionalities will be introduced progressively island-wide to all ATMs.

Usage Guide

  1. Toolbar settings
    • Selecting my preferred language
      1. Select "华语 | MELAYU | மொழி" on the toolbar at the top of the screen
      2. Click on your preferred language ► "Close"

    • Enlarge my text size display
      1. Select "AA" on the toolbar at the top of the screen
      2. Click "Large" ► "Close"

  3. Making a cash withdrawal
    • Cash withdrawal without a receipt
      1. On the right of the screen, select any preset amount OR select "Choose Another Fast Cash Amount"
      2. Enter withdrawal amount on the screen or on the physical keypad ► "Confirm"
      3. Collect your card and cash. Your account balance will be displayed on the screen at the end of the transaction

    • Cash withdrawal with a receipt
      1. On the left of the screen, select "Cash Withdrawal"
      2. Select your account number from the list displayed
      3. On the right of the screen, select any preset amount OR select "Choose Another Amount"
      4. Enter withdrawal amount on the screen or on the physical keypad
      5. Select your receipt option: "Yes" to print receipt, "No - Show account balance" to display your balance on screen, "No - Hide account balance" for no receipt and no balance on screen
      6. Collect your card and cash

  5. Making a funds transfer
    • Funds transfer to your own account
      1. On the left of the screen, select "Funds Transfer"
      2. Select your account to transfer from, from the list displayed
      3. On the right of the screen, select your account to transfer to, from the list displayed
      4. Enter amount to transfer on the screen or on the physical keypad
      5. Re-check your selection before pressing "Confirm"
      6. Collect your card and receipt

    • Funds Transfer to another POSB or DBS account
      1. On the left of the screen, select "Funds Transfer"
      2. Select the account to transfer from, from the list displayed
      3. Select "Other DBS or POSB Accounts" ► Select account type
      4. Enter account number ► "Confirm"
      5. Enter amount to transfer on the screen or on the physical keypad
      6. Re-check your selection before pressing "Confirm"
      7. Collect your card and receipt

  7. Checking account balance
    • View my main account balance
      1. On the left of the screen, select "Balance Enquiry - Main Account"
      2. Your account balance will be displayed instantly

    • View all my account balance
      1. On the left of the screen, select "Balance Enquiry - All Accounts"
      2. Select the account to display balance ► "Show Details"

  1. What is new ATM experience about?

    These are new features introduced which offers you a brand new look and is designed to make it simpler when you transact at our ATMs.

  2. Will the new features be made available on all DBS and POSB ATMs?

    The new features have been introduced to ATMs at various locations island-wide and will be made progressively available to all the ATMs in our network.

  3. Why are you making these changes since I am used to the old design?

    The changes offer you simplified steps and shortcuts for your transaction, making your banking experience on the ATM simpler and faster. An example is the ability to view your account balance instantly on the main menu.

  4. Why are you making banking for the elderly difficult by implementing these changes?

    The new features are developed with the elderly in mind. Unlike your typical ATM, usage of iconography helps understand the selection they are making on the machine. In addition, they can change their preferred language and customise the text size display when transacting on the ATM.

  5. What are the language options offered on your ATM?

    We offer four local languages on our ATMs: English, Mandarin, Malay and recently introduced Tamil.

  6. What is Fast Cash withdrawal?

    An instant cash withdrawal from your main deposit account tagged to your ATM, debit or credit card. Please note that this is not a cash advance withdrawal.

  7. Why is there no receipt when I select the preset amounts for cash withdrawal?

    As we continue in our bid to reduce paper trail, there is no receipt issued for Fast Cash withdrawal, instead, your account balance will be displayed at the end of your transaction. This is an existing feature currently available on all our ATMs.

  8. Why is there no confirmation page when I make a funds transfer?

    The account information and amount you have entered will be displayed on the left of the screen before your enter the Confirm button. Please re-check your entry prior to confirming your transaction.

  9. Why do you display my account balance when I make a cash withdrawal or funds transfer? This is a privacy issue.

    We hear you and respect your privacy. We are pleased to inform you that we are in the process of enhancing the screens to hide the account balance and the changes will be made available to you by August 2016.

  10. What happens to my myATM settings with this change?

    No changes will be made to your current settings. You can access your myATM settings via More Services then select "More Services" under the Service Menu ► "My ATM".

  11. Why are the screens for More Services different?

    We are applying the changes in phases. The new screens are currently applicable to the top five frequently used transactions on the ATM.
