Setup is simple

Android Pay is currently available for almost any Android device1 running on AndroidTM 4.4 (KitKat) or later versions. Do ensure that you have a Google Account signed up as well.

How to get started:

  1. Launch your Android Pay app. If you do not have it on your device, download here.
  2. You may add your DBS/POSB Visa & MasterCard Credit and Debit Cards2 by following the onscreen instructions. Your card details can be captured automatically with your device camera or by manual entry.
  3. If you already have a DBS/POSB Card added in your Google account, simply add it to Android Pay by confirming a few details.
  4. Once your DBS/POSB Card is successfully added, you may start to tap and pay with Android Pay!

Can I use Android Pay with my DBS/POSB Cards?

Yes, you can. DBS/POSB Cardmembers ("Cardmembers") can now use any eligible DBS/POSB Consumer Visa & MasterCard Debit and Credit Card ("Card") with Android Pay to pay at selected merchants who accept DBS contactless.

As a Cardmember, you can also get real-time notifications and details of your purchases when you use Android Pay. Notifications of your transactions made with Android Pay on your Card will be sent.

Which Cards and devices are eligible for Android Pay?

All DBS/POSB Consumer Visa & MasterCard Credit and Debit Cards are eligible for Android Pay.

For eligible devices, you will need an Android phone running on AndroidTM 4.4 (KitKat) or later versions. Your phone also needs to support Near Field Communication (NFC) and Host Card Emulation (HCE) functions.

Note that only DBS/POSB Consumer Visa & MasterCard Credit and Debit Cards are allowed for Android Pay. Business, Corporate and Purchasing Cards issued by DBS are not enabled.

How many cards can I add to my Android Pay?

You may add multiple eligible DBS/POSB Cards to your Android Pay on each device. To ensure that you are receiving the many benefits of DBS/POSB Cards, be sure to always select a DBS/POSB Card when paying with Android Pay.

Can I add my Card to more than one Android Pay app on separate devices?

Yes, you may add your eligible DBS/POSB Consumer Visa & MasterCard Credit and Debit Card to multiple devices, but you will need to set it up using the Android Pay app on each device.

How do I pay with Android Pay?

To pay with Android Pay, you must first add your eligible Card(s) to the Android Pay app on your compatible Android device.

At a store with Near Field Communication (NFC) contactless readers, simply:

  1. Unlock your phone from its locked status
  2. Place your phone over a contactless reader
  3. Your device will subtly vibrate and emit a soft tone to indicate a successful payment!

A notification of your Android Pay transaction will also be sent to you.

How secure is an Android Pay transaction?

A digital card number, separate and unique from your plastic Card account number is securely stored on your device, so you can make payments without sharing card details and numbers with merchants.

If your device is ever lost or stolen, you can easily find, lock, and delete your details from a device using Android Device Manager.

Can I take advantage of DBS Offers using Android Pay?

Yes. You may use your eligible Card enrolled in Android Pay to enjoy offers at participating merchants offering privileges to Cards. To learn more about eligibility and enrolling in offers, please visit https://rewards.dbs.com.
