iBanking FAQ on Debit Card Activation

  1. What does Debit Card activation mean?
    Debit Card activation is a procedure that is required before you can start using your Debit Card.
  2. How do I activate my Debit Card?
    You can simply activate your Debit Card at any DBS/POSB ATMs or via iBanking, with the new PIN that is mailed to you separately.
  3. Can I use my Debit Card immediately after activation?
    Yes.
  4. Can I change my PIN via iBanking after activation?
    No. PIN for Debit Cards can only be changed at DBS/POSB ATMs.
  5. Is the service free?
    Yes.
  6. What should I do if I did not receive a PIN within 3 working days, after I received my DBS Visa Debit Card or POSB Go! Debit Card?
    Please contact DBS at 1800 111 1111 to block your Debit Card.
  7. What should I do if I did not receive a PIN for my DBS Takashimaya Debit Card, DBS CapitaCard MasterCard Platinum Debit, POSB Active Card , POSB Multi-tude Debit Card or POSB Multi-tude + $500 Credit Card?
    Please proceed to any DBS/POSB ATMs to activate your Debit Card with your existing ATM Card. You will be able to select your Debit Card PIN at the ATM upon activation.
