Frequently Asked Questions on Upgrading Passbook to eStatement

At POSB, we understand your need to have a convenient and easier way to bank. For customers who bank online, we believe that an online account will suit your needs better than a passbook account. To enhance your banking experience, we would like to auto upgrade your passbook to an eStatement. In this auto upgrade, your account number and services currently linked to your POSB Passbook Account will remain unchanged.

Q1. What are the benefits of upgrading a passbook to an eStatement?

You will enjoy the convenience of receiving an eStatement each month and therefore discontinue the use of your passbook. Furthermore, you will be able to enjoy the convenience of viewing up to 36 months of past statements (from the month of enrolment). For more benefits on eStatement, please visit www.dbs.com/sg/estatement.

Q2. I wish to upgrade my passbook to an eStatement.

For selected customers who have received our notification email and letter dated 2 May 2013, no further action is required from you. Once your account has been upgraded, we will send you a confirmation sms.

Q3. I do not want the eStatement service. I wish to continue to use my passbook.

Please let us know via www.posb.com.sg/OptOut by 28 May 2013. Thereafter we will send you an acknowledgement email.

Q4. Will I have to pay a fee to upgrade?

This is a complimentary service. There will be no fees involved.

Q5. Can I still keep my passbook?

Yes, you may keep your passbook as your previous transactions before the upgrade are printed on it. But do take note that you will not able to update your passbook anymore.

Q6. I wish to upgrade my passbook to eStatement but I did not receive any notification email and letter from your Bank.

You may login to iBanking and follow these 2 simple steps to upgrade your account:
Step 1: Select Service Request > Request for POSB Passbook Conversion (on the left panel)
