POSB Active Award 2011 Winner - Mr Geoffrey Kung Kuo WooPOSB proudly announced 65-year old Mr Geoffrey Kung Kuo Woo as the winner for the POSB Active Award 2011. This is an annual event hosted by the Council for Third Age (C3A) to recognise seniors aged 60 years and above who exemplify active ageing. Mr Kung founded the Re-Employing Valuable Experienced Retirees to Serve Elders (REVERSE), a co-operative to support re-employment of seniors by matching skill set of the seniors against potential job openings. The main objective of REVERSE is to assist seniors to return back to the workforce, so they can remain financially independent and an actively contribute to the society. Geoffrey is also active in sports and plays badminton and squash on a regular basis. He is a member of the SAFRA Veteran's League Badminton Team and even plays the bugle. He is indeed a role model to other seniors, to inspire them towards financial freedom, good health and an engaging lifestyle. |
