Activate New Card

You can activate your new card easily using SMS Banking, iBanking, digibank or at our POSB/DBS ATM and Video Teller Machine (VTM).

Supplementary cards need to be activated independently from main cards, and can be activated even before the main card is activated.

SMS Banking
SMS the following keyword commands to 77767:
  • Activate <space> Last 4 digits of Card.
    E.g. Activate 1234
  • For foreign-registered mobile number, please use iBanking or digibank.

iBanking (Only for existing POSB/DBS customers)

Credit Card Activation

  • Login to iBanking with your User ID and PIN.
  • Select Cards and click on Activate Credit Cards.
  • Login with your 6-Digit iB Secure PIN.
  • Select the Credit Card you would like to activate.
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click Next.
  • Verify the details before clicking Submit.

Debit Card Activation
  • Login to iBanking with your User ID and PIN.
  • Select Cards and click on Activate Debit & ATM Cards.
  • Login with your 6-Digit iB Secure PIN.
  • Select the Debit or ATM Card you would like to activate.
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click Next.
  • Verify the details before clicking Submit.

digibank (Only for existing POSB/DBS customers)
  • Login to digibank with your User ID and PIN.
  • Select Card Services from the menu option.
  • Select Activate Credit Card or Activate ATM/Debit Card.
  • Login with your 6-Digit iB Secure PIN.
  • Follow the instructions to complete the activation.
Please note:
You will need your Credit/Debit Card PIN which will be mailed to you for your ATM and PIN - based transaction.
Activation service is currently unavailable to DBS UnionPay Debit Cards and POSB UnionPay ATM Cards.

Don't have digibank?

POSB/DBS ATM
ATM activation is available from 7am to 11pm (Mon-Sat) and 7am to 9.30pm (Sun and Public Holidays).
  • Insert your inactive New ATM/Debit/Credit Card.
  • Enter your New Card PIN* received in a seperate mail.
  • Select More Services.
  • Select Cards/PIN/iBanking/Phonebanking.
  • Select Activate Card.
Follow instructions on the ATM screen to complete activation.

Note:
  • *You will receive your New Card PIN within 5 working days after you have received your New Card.

Video Teller Machine (VTM)
  • Insert your NRIC, ATM/Debit/Credit Card or scan your Passport and complete the authentication process.
  • Under Card Services, select Activate Card.
  • Insert your inactive New ATM/Debit/Credit Card.
  • Enter your New Card PIN* received in a seperate mail.
  • Provide your NRIC Number, Nationality and Date of Birth.
  • Press Confirm to complete the activation.

Note:
  • *You will receive your New Card PIN within 5 working days after you have received your New Card.
