No. When you turn on your phone’s Bluetooth, click “Cancel” or “Dismiss” if you’re asked to pair the watch.


Firstly, ensure you've installed the latest version of the Smart Buddy Mobile App on your phone.

  1. Turn off your Bluetooth under "Settings" of your phone.
  2. Open Smart Buddy App and login.
  3. Click on "Watch" icon, press the "Setup" button and complete the required fields and click "Next".
  4. Then you'll see a page "Please make sure your device's Bluetooth is turned on and try again."
  5. Swipe up your phone's shortcut function from the bottom, click the "Bluetooth" icon, then tap "Retry".
  6. Select your watch's serial number to complete the setup, you may refer to Smart Buddy Mobile App Guide for more info on watch setup.

For subsequent syncing, click "Sync" under the "Watch" section.

  1. Under your phone settings, ensure the watch has not been paired with your phone. If it is, unpair the device. Then, turn off your Bluetooth under “Settings”.

No, the watch is splash & water resistant. Do advise your child not use the watch in the shower or when he/she goes for a swim.



Yes, if the watch is turned on or on standby, the date/time will continue to be updated.


The watch stores 7 days of fitness data. The icon means the data on the watch is full. Simply sync your child’s watch via the “Watch” section to download the data from the watch with your phone.


No, this means the watch has been turned off. The date/time will stop running. You will see "HELLO" when the watch is first turned on. It will go into standby mode after 10 seconds, i.e. the screen will turn dark. The date/time will continue to be updated.


If your child is studying in a Smart Buddy participating school (except Anderson Primary School and Xingnan Primary School), your child may perform a 1-to-1 exchange at the General Office.

Alternatively, you may also perform a 1-to-1 exchange at our Replacement Centre.

Do remember to remove the payment chip from the faulty watch during replacement. Thereafter, insert the payment chip into the new watch and setup the watch via the Smart Buddy Mobile App.


No. Any unspent allowance will be reflected as "Allowance Savings" under the "Savings" section on the mobile app. The savings will be automatically transferred from your debiting account to your child's account if you've provided an ePOSBkids Account during registration.


You may call POSB hotline at 1800 339 6666 or visit any POSB/DBS branches to update your account.


Total Stamp Savings will be credited back to your debiting account by 15th of the following month.


You may temporarily disable the Smart Buddy watch by switching the "Disable Account" to "On" under your child's profile. In the event the watch is found, you may enable it again by switching the "Disable Account" to "Off". To permanently terminate the payment chip, you may contact POSB hotline at 1800 339 6666. There will be a fee of S$30 for a replacement.


You may update the account via:

  • iBanking: Under Cards select Change Card Linkage
  • digibank: Select Card Services from the menu followed by Change Card Linkage

Yes, your child may use the additional allowance allocated immediately.


No. Your account will only be deducted when a transaction is made.

E.g. if your child buys a chicken for S$1.50, only S$1.50 will be deducted from your account.

Assuming your child doesn't spend the remaining allowance of S$0.50, this amount will be reflected as Allowance Savings under the "Savings" section on the Mobile App.
