How to set up

Android Pay is currently available for almost any Android device1 running on AndroidTM 4.4 (KitKat) or later versions. Do ensure that you have a Google Account signed up as well.

How to get started:

  1. Launch your Android Pay app. If you do not have it on your device, download here.
  2. You may add your DBS/POSB Visa & Mastercard® Credit and Debit Cards by following the onscreen instructions. Your card details can be captured automatically with your device camera or by manual entry.
  3. If you already have a DBS/POSB Card added to your Google account, simply add it to Android Pay by confirming a few details.
  4. Once your DBS/POSB Card is successfully added, you may start to tap and pay with Android Pay!

Yes, you can. DBS/POSB Cardmembers ("Cardmembers") can now use any eligible DBS/POSB Visa & Mastercard® Debit and Credit Card ("Card") with Android Pay to pay at selected merchants with Near Field Communication (NFC) contactless readers.

As a Cardmember, you can also get real-time notifications and details of your purchases when you use Android Pay. Notifications of your transactions made with Android Pay on your Card will be sent.


All DBS/POSB Visa & Mastercard® Credit and Debit Cards are eligible for Android Pay.

For eligible devices, you will need an Android phone running on AndroidTM 4.4 (KitKat) or later versions. Your phone also needs to support Near Field Communication (NFC) and Host Card Emulation (HCE) functions.


You may add multiple eligible DBS/POSB Cards to your Android Pay on each device. To ensure that you are receiving the many benefits of DBS/POSB Cards, be sure to always select a DBS/POSB Card when paying with Android Pay.


Yes, you may add your eligible DBS/POSB Visa & Mastercard® Credit and Debit Card to multiple devices, but you will need to set your Card up on each device separately.


To pay with Android Pay, you must first add your eligible Card(s) to the Android Pay app on your compatible Android device.

At a store with Near Field Communication (NFC) contactless readers, simply:

  1. Unlock your phone from its locked status
  2. Place your phone over a contactless reader
  3. Your device will subtly vibrate and emit a soft tone to indicate a successful payment!

A notification of your Android Pay transaction will also be sent to you.


A digital card number, separate and unique from your plastic Card account number is securely stored on your device so you can make payments without fear of the need to share card details and numbers with merchants.

If your device is ever lost or stolen, you can easily find, lock, and delete your details from a device using Android Device Manager.
