No, the Covid-19 Vaccine Protect policy is a separate policy that does not require you to cancel or update your existing insurance policies. This applies even if you are an existing customer with Chubb.

Covid-19 Vaccine Protect provides daily hospital cash benefits in the event of:

  • Hospitalisation due to Covid-19; and/or
  • Hospitalisation due to adverse reaction following Covid-19 vaccination.

It also provides bereavement assist benefit in the event of death due to Covid-19 or from an adverse reaction following the Covid-19 vaccination.

This is an additional cash coverage that will apply on top of existing policies a customer may have, which can help cover any expenses that you or your family members may have incurred, such as outpatient treatment expenses.

Covid-19 Vaccine Protect is a complimentary policy only available to DBS/POSB customers, their partner and dependent child(ren), who fulfil the following criteria on the commencement date of the insurance:

  • Singapore Residents;
  • have not travelled overseas in the last 14 days;

Customers who are 18 years of age or older can apply. Dependent child(ren) must be between 1 month old and 17 years old, or up to 25 years old, provided the child is primarily dependent on the applicant and is studying as a full-time student at an accredited institution of higher learning on the commencement date of the insurance.

Singapore Resident means Singapore citizen, Singapore permanent resident, or holder of a valid work permit, employment pass, dependant's pass, long-term visit pass, S Pass or student pass issued by the authorities in Singapore.
