Lost or Damaged Smart Buddy Card/Watch

Lost Smart Buddy Card/ Watch with Chip

Step 1
If your child loses the Smart Buddy Card/ Watch with Chip, follow the steps to below to temporarily disable it.

From the main dashboard, tap on the Pencil Icon.

Tap on the Disable Account button to the On position to proceed.

The account would be disabled immediately.

Do note that disabling the account only disables its usage on Smart Buddy terminals and NETS retailers outside of school. Non-NETS related transaction (i.e MRT/Bus ride) will not be disabled.

If your child is able to locate the card/ Watch with Chip, simply tap on the switch again to enable it.

If the card is lost, refer to the More Information at the bottom of the page for the replacement options.

Tap on the Pencil icon in the main dashboard.

Tap on the Update button located beside the Chip No. field.

Do note that the Update button will only appear 1-2 days after the previous Smart Buddy card/chip has been successfully terminated by the bank.

Tap Activate Now to proceed.

Key in the new Smart Buddy card number and tap Submit.

Complete the OTP Verification

The new Smart Buddy card number would be updated on the Smart Buddy App.

The watch is warranted for one year against manufacturing defects on the watch body and the watch electronic function itself. Signs of abuse and misuse will void the warranty. Straps are not covered in this warranty. Terms & Conditions apply.

If your watch is still under warranty, to replace your faulty watch, you will need to raise a replacement request through your Smart Buddy mobile app.

If your watch is no longer under warranty, you may purchase a new Smart Buddy watch via eShoppenow.

Tap on Warranty/ Replacement from the Settings tab.

Tap on Submit New Request.

Select the options accordingly and tap Submit.

Step 4
You will be notified of the request results via push notification on the Smart Buddy app. You can also identify your request results under Your Requests.
  • If approved, retrieve the QR code and follow the instructions provided in the push notification to receive a replacement watch.

  • If the Smart Buddy Card/ payment chip is lost permanently, please block the card/ payment chip via digibank mobile.
    Note:
    • Smart Buddy card/ payment chip is shown as a POSB ATM card in digibank mobile.
    • Please identify your Smart Buddy Card/ payment chip based on the 9th to 15th digit of your Smart Buddy Card/ payment chip against the number reflected in digibank mobile. (E.g. Smart Buddy card/chip number XXXXXXXX 00428675 would be displayed as POSB ATM CARD 00428670 on digibank mobile.)
  • To replace the lost Smart Buddy card/ payment chip, please Get in Touch with Us. A new Smart Buddy card/ payment chip will be mailed to your bank registered mailing address within 7 working days upon successful receipt of request.
  • To replace the lost Smart Buddy watch, you may purchase another one here. Thereafter, please insert the new replacement payment chip which you will receive from POSB into the new Smart Buddy watch you have purchased from eShoppeNow.
