The POSB Payroll Account is designed to make banking easier for all Work Permit holders. You can now manage and track salary payments with ease.
Upon opening of Payroll Account, you will also be issued with a DBS Visa Debit Card.

Eligibility and Fees
- No initial minimum deposit required for opening POSB Payroll Account.
- A S$2 monthly service fee if average daily balance falls below S$500.
- A S$2 monthly ATM withdrawal fee will apply if the customer makes more than 4 ATM cash withdrawals in the month.
- A S$2 fee will apply for each cash withdrawal of S$2,000 or less, at any DBS/POSB branch.
Important note:
^ The total amount of cash that you can withdraw per day at both local and overseas ATMs is capped. This daily cash withdrawal limit applies regardless of the number of cards you have. Click here for details.
* For remittances to Malaysia, there will be a $3 Service Fee for transactions of S$500 or less, effective 27 January 2021
For MDW: Only accounts opened via the MOM system (for new or transfer MDWs) or online (for existing MDWs) will enjoy a waiver of service charge.
Deposit Insurance Scheme
Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors and monies and deposits denominated in Singapore dollars under the Supplementary Retirement Scheme are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$75,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law. Monies and deposits denominated in Singapore dollars under the CPF Investment Scheme and CPF Retirement Sum Scheme are aggregated and separately insured up to S$75,000 for each depositor per Scheme member. Foreign currency deposits, dual currency investments, structured deposits and other investment products are not insured.

For new or transfer MDWs
When requesting for work permit issuance via the MOM system, select the option to open a POSB account. Your MDW’s consent must be obtained prior to application. For more information, please click here.
For existing MDWs
To apply for POSB Payroll Account online, you would need the following documents and details.
- Valid Passport
- Work permit (front and back copies) or In-Principle Approval (IPA)1
- Screenshot of SGWorkPass App
- Mobile number
- Email address

How to activate your Payroll Account and Debit Card
There are various channels which you may activate your Payroll Account with us. The most convenient method would be via SMS Banking.
SMS Banking
SMS the following keyword commands to 77767:
- Activate Last 4 digits of Card.
E.g. Activate 1234
Note: Foreign-registered mobile numbers are not eligible for SMS banking, please proceed to a DBS/POSB ATM to activate your account/card instead.
DBS/POSB ATM
Locate the nearest DBS/POSB ATM.
Steps for account/card activation
- Insert your New ATM/Debit Card into the ATM.
- Enter your Card PIN*.
- Select More Services.
- Select Cards/PIN/iBanking/Phonebanking.
- Select Activate Card.
- Follow instructions on the ATM screen to complete activation.
*Note: The Card PIN can be found in a separate letter sent to you.

How to add Payee for DBS Remit?
- Log in to digibank Mobile with your Touch / Face ID or digibank User ID & PIN.
- Tap Pay & Transfer and select Overseas.
- Tap Add Overseas Recipient and select the Country.
- Enter your recipient's Bank Details followed by their Account & Personal Details.
- Tap Next to review your recipient's details and tap Add Recipient Now.
- Follow the 2-Factor Authentication Instructions to complete the request.
