You have two simple ways to update your linked bank account:

• DBS/POSB digibank Online: Go to "Cards." > Select "Link Card to Deposit Account for ATM Use." > Choose your Smart Buddy card. > Change the linked account for deductions.
• DBS/POSB digibank Mobile: Tap "More." > Then "Manage Cards & Loans." > Select "Link Card to Account." > Find your Smart Buddy card under "POSB ATM Card." > Update the account.

Important Note: Do not select a digiVault account for deductions as it is not supported. Your Smart Buddy card/payment chip appears as a "POSB ATM card" in digibank. To find it, match the 9th to 15th digits of your physical card number with the corresponding entry in the app (e.g., if your card shows XXXXXXXX 00428675, look for POSB ATM CARD 00428670 in digibank).

No, the Smart Buddy app is not a digital wallet. It provides you with transactional information, such as allowance balance, spending, and savings, along with helpful financial tips for your child.

No, Smart Buddy is not designed for public transport use. If used on MRT/bus rides, all fares will be charged at the full adult rate, you may experience occasional issues during transit, and these transactions will not appear in the Smart Buddy app. For complete details or to check transit history, please visit the TransitLink website.

You see "[OFFLINE $]" transactions when canteen terminals are temporarily offline. Your child's purchases are still processed, but the money is deducted from your account later, once the terminals are back online. This might sometimes make it seem like your child has exceeded their daily allowance.

If your child is having trouble making payments, please check the following:

• Activation: Ensure the card or chip is activated and correctly inserted into the watch.
• Allowance: Confirm that you have set enough allowance via the Smart Buddy app.
• Funds: Verify that there are sufficient funds in your linked bank account.
• ATM Card Limit: Ensure your ATM Card limit is set to the default S$2000.
• NETS Payment (Outside School): If at a NETS retailer, advise them to "Pay via NETS" or select the NETS option at self-service kiosks.

Yes, the change is instant! Your child can use their updated allowance right away.

No, your account is only charged when your child makes a purchase. For example, if your child spends S$1.50 on chicken rice, only S$1.50 will be deducted from your account. The remaining S$3.50 allowance will stay in your bank account and be displayed as "Allowance Savings" in the "Savings" section of the Smart Buddy app.

You might be logged into your child’s access account. Only your parent's account has permission to edit profiles and adjust allowances. Please refer to the app for visual cues to identify which account you are currently logged into.

You can find the Smart Buddy card number on the back of the payment chip, which is located inside the watch.

• 3rd Generation Watch: Use the provided pin. Insert it into the side hole, gently push up, and then pull out the chip tray.
• 5th & 6th Generation Watches: Use a flat tool, such as a fingernail, to pull out the chip tray. Place the payment chip on the tray and carefully slide it back into the watch.

Yes, the Smart Buddy watch is provided free of charge to all Smart Buddy applicants who select the watch with chip option.

The Smart Buddy watch is splash and water-resistant only. We recommend that children avoid wearing it in the shower or swimming pool to prevent damage.

To successfully sync watch data to the app, you must use the same account that was used during the initial watch setup. This could be either the parent's or the child's access account.

If your child has lost their Smart Buddy card or watch, you can temporarily disable it by switching "Disable Account" to "On" in your child's profile within the app. If found, simply switch it back to "Off." Please note that disabling only stops usage in school and at NETS retailers; MRT/Bus rides will not be disabled.

Your watch is covered by a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Please note that damage caused by rough play voids the warranty, and watch straps are not covered.

• Under Warranty: Request a replacement directly through your Smart Buddy mobile app.
• Warranty Expired: You can purchase a new Smart Buddy watch from eShoppeNow.
